Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
The short version: the tools run in your browser, and what you type in them is never sent to analytics. The site uses Google Analytics to count visits; in Europe it asks you first, and anyone can turn it off in Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. There are no accounts, sign-up forms, newsletters or ads. I don’t sell your personal information.
Who runs this site
QuickFixBase is a one-person site run by Igor, based in Serbia. I’m responsible for any personal data the site handles, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Serbia’s Law on Personal Data Protection.

What you enter in a tool
- Tools marked “Runs in your browser” process your text, files, camera and microphone entirely on your device. Nothing you enter is uploaded, and it’s gone when you close the page.
- Camera and microphone tools ask your browser for permission first. Audio and video stay on your device.
- Tools marked “Checked from our server” send only what the check needs, such as the web address you entered, to a QuickFixBase server running on Cloudflare. The result comes back to you. What you entered isn’t stored or logged.
- The DNS Lookup and the SPF, DKIM & DMARC Checker pass the domain you enter (and a DKIM selector, if you add one) from that server to two public DNS services, Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and Google Public DNS, which return its records. They see the names asked about, never your IP address. Their policies explain what they keep: Cloudflare, Google.
- What Is My ISP asks that server how your connection looks from the internet. The server answers from what Cloudflare already knows about your visit: your IP address, the network (internet provider) it belongs to and its approximate location. Nothing goes to another service, and the answer, which only you see, isn’t stored or logged.
Cookies and local storage
The only cookies QuickFixBase uses come from Google Analytics. There are no advertising cookies.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
_ga |
Tells visits apart, so returning visitors aren’t counted twice | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> |
Keeps track of the current visit | 2 years |
If your device is set to a European time zone, these cookies are set only after you press Accept in the cookie notice. Elsewhere they’re set when a page loads. Wherever you are, Cookie settings at the bottom of every page lets you change your mind: Decline deletes the cookies and stops Google Analytics.
The site also saves a few small preferences in your browser’s local storage, on your device only:
- your light or dark theme
- the options you last picked in each tool
- your cookie choice
They never leave your device. To remove them, clear this site’s data in your browser: Chrome, Safari, Firefox.
A YouTube video you choose to play inside a guide may set its own cookies. See Videos in guides.
Hosting and security: Cloudflare
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives your IP address, browser details and the page you ask for, so it can deliver the page and block attacks. It may keep short-lived logs of this for security. Cloudflare handles this data on my behalf as a processor; its privacy policy explains how.
Google Analytics
I use Google Analytics 4, run by Google, to see how many people visit, which pages and tools they use, how they found the site, roughly where they are (country and city) and what kind of device and browser they use. I see totals and trends, not who you are. Google Analytics doesn’t log or store IP addresses.
What it never gets: anything you type or paste into a tool. Page addresses are sent without the part after ? or #, where search terms and lookups would be.
I don’t use Google Analytics for advertising: Google signals and ad personalization are off. The data is kept for 14 months, then deleted. Google explains how it uses data from sites that use its services.
To opt out, press Cookie settings at the bottom of any page and choose Decline, or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Visitor statistics
The site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It records the page, the site you came from, your country, and your browser and device type. It uses no cookies or local storage and doesn’t track you across other websites. I see totals, not individual visitors.
Videos in guides
Some guides include a YouTube video. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play. When you do, the video plays from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): your browser connects to YouTube, which receives your IP address and may store data in your browser. Google’s privacy policy applies to that video. If you’d rather not, use the link to watch it on YouTube instead, or skip it; every guide works without the video.
If you email me
I use your email address and message only to reply to you. Mail sent to hello@quickfixbase.com is stored in a mailbox hosted by Rackspace Email, which I get through my former web host, Cloudways. I keep emails only as long as I need them to handle your request.
Why this is allowed (legal bases)
- Hosting, security and Cloudflare visitor statistics: my legitimate interest in running a secure site and knowing which pages are useful (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). No profile of you is built.
- Google Analytics: in Europe, your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time in Cookie settings. Elsewhere, my legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used, and you can opt out the same way.
- Server checks: to give you the result you asked for.
- Email: to answer you, at your request.
- Preferences in local storage: needed for features you choose to use, so they don’t need consent.
Data outside Serbia and the EU
Cloudflare, Google and Rackspace may process data in other countries, including the United States. They protect transfers with safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete personal data I hold about you, ask me to stop or limit using it, or ask for a copy. Email hello@quickfixbase.com and I’ll reply within 30 days. Because the site keeps almost nothing about you, often there will be nothing to hand over, but you can always ask.
Children
The site isn’t aimed at children under 16, and it doesn’t knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
If the site adds advertising or any other service that collects data, this page will be updated first, and you’ll be asked for consent where the law requires it. The date at the top shows the latest change.
